Xerces Society
The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation is an international nonprofit organization that protects the natural world through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats. As a science-based organization, we both conduct our own research and rely upon the most up-to-date information to guide our conservation work. Our key program areas are: pollinator conservation, endangered species conservation, and reducing pesticide use and impacts.
Coalitions and Collaboratives, Inc.
COCO uses the expertise gained from CUSP programs to mentor, empower, and engage local conservation organizations across the state and nationally. Local collaborative organizations have a vested interest in local place: no one has more to lose than the locals.
The Nature Conservancy, Sandhills Office
Longleaf pine forests once stretched 90 million acres from Virginia to Texas. Harvested for lumber, turpentine, tar and pitch, this vast forest began to decline rapidly in the 19th century, and today a mere 3% of the original range remains. You can see what these ancient woodlands once looked like by visiting Calloway Forest, a longleaf pine forest in the Sandhills. Many wildlife species depend on the openness of longleaf pine forest to forage and raise young.
Land Conservancy of Adams County
The Land Conservancy of Adams County is an accredited, member-supported, 501(c)3 nonprofit land trust dedicated to preserving the rural lands and character of Adams County, Pennsylvania.
Pollinator Partnership
Pollinator Partnership works with diverse stakeholders representing various perspectives with the goal of creating positive change for pollinators. We work with farmers, gardeners, land managers, scientists, and industry to develop tools and programs that help keep pollinators safe from pesticides, habitat loss, climate change, and other threats.
