Tennessee River Basin Biodiversity Network Meeting

The Tennessee River Basin Biodiversity Network (Network) is a collaborative effort of conservation interests that is focused on increasing the efficiency, effectiveness, and durability of conservation actions in streams and rivers of the region.

The primary goal of the Network is to address the region’s priorities by:

  • Providing forums for collaboration on priority issues;
  • Developing and modifying tools to address regional issues;
  • Tracking conservation and restoration efforts;
  • Identifying and expanding opportunities for comprehensive monitoring; and
  • Expanding the Network to enable strategic partnerships.

 

This next meeting of the Network will focus on what is currently happening, with speakers presenting on project overviews, high-level outcomes, address relevant challenges, and define how the Network can engage. The rest of the meeting will focus on facilitated work group discussions among the Science and Management Team and the Communications and Outreach Team to determine a plan of action for addressing critical needs that further conservation in the region and identify resources to accomplish specific goals and tasks within one year.
