ARRI is a coalition dedicated to restoring forests on coal mined lands in Eastern United States. ARRI partners include landowners, the coal industry, government representatives, watershed groups and others.
We are encouraging presentations on the following topics:
- Reforestation projects with water quality results
- Mining and reforestation techniques using the Forest Reclamation Approach
- Funding reforestation projects on legacy coal mined sites
- Challenges and successes associated with reclamation using the Forest Reclamation Approach
- Site selection for reforestation projects to maximize water quality enhancement
- Reforestation projects that create/enhance wildlife habitat
- Presentations regarding all aspects of reforestation
