This habitat was assessed in both the Cumberland - Southern Appalachian subregion and the Interior Low Plateau subregion. Results are in the first two tabs of the spreadsheet. A description of the habitat, and a list of associated species, is included in the description tab. The remaining tabs describe the individual factors and their definitions. These results are in the review stage. Please send comments to lesley_sneddon@natureserve.org.

There is an increasing need to consider the anticipated effects of climate change on ecosystems and identify management actions that respond to these changes. This workshop will support participants from the Rio Grande National Forest in determining which climate impacts are of greatest concern to them, and identify management opportunities for adapting to change. The Adaptation Workbook provides a structured process for integrating climate change considerations into management planning and activities.

Information seekers can turn to NOAA personnel on the ground to access and apply available information to specific questions and needs. NOAA provides a wide range of climate information through monthly, seasonal and decade forecasts and data tailored to the specific needs of different sectors. NOAA uses this same information to take direct action to increase the resilience and facilitate adaptation of the nation’s valuable marine and coastal resources and the people that depend on them.
