Field Day at Mountain Research Station

The Field Day at the Mountain Research Station in Waynesville, NC will be a great event for agricultural producers to get the latest updates on agricultural research and to see the latest and best available tools and equipment at the trade show. The NRCS Partner Biologists for the Hellbender Working Lands for Wildlife Initiative will be in attendance with information about the program.

  • Registration and trade show open at 1:30 pm
  • Opening remarks start at 2:30 pm
  • Educational session on forage fertility and alternative lime sources from 2:45 to 3:45 pm
  • Two field tours: Beef & Forage (winter feeding areas, crabgrass variety trial, hemp grain variety trial, and bull test and scoring) or Crop Production (tomato disease management, tomato breeding, and cucurbit downy mildew), from 4:00 to 5:30 pm
  • Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm
